Business Office Manager

Our Skilled Nursing facility is seeking an outgoing Full-Time Business Office Manager, 40 hours per week with benefits.  

The Business Office Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing the office function, which includes but is not limited to billing, accounts receivable, collections, resident trust, accounts payable and the accurate reporting of same to corporate personnel.  The Business Office Manager greets the public as well as organizes, prioritizes, and performs assigned work; assures accuracy of all reports and records pertaining to assigned work.  

The Business Office Manager is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current prevailing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.  All accounting functions for the facility are done in accordance with current generally accepted accounting principles and cost reimbursement principles relating to long-term care.  

Accounts receivable process includes:   

  • Cash receipts posting 
  • Medicaid billing 
  • Medicaid approval process 
  • Preparation for third party billing and private collections, assistance from the corporate billing service for all third-party payers  

Education & Qualifications 

  • 2 years of college or a degree in accounting preferred 
  • Experience as a Business Office Manager in the healthcare field, skilled nursing preferred  
  • Experience with Medicaid/Medicare/HMO Insurance 
  • Possess mathematical skills, strong organizational skills, and be detail oriented  
  • Strong computer knowledge desirable  
  • Software proficiency: working knowledge of Excel, Word, and MS Office is required  
  • Ability to establish effective relationships and communication with residents, family members, staff, coworkers, external parties and general public 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently  
  • Ability to work independently or part of a group  
  • Must be honest, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of others (HIPPA)
