Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Baylor 

Location: GlenOaks Senior Living Campus, New London, MN

** $5 shift differential added to base wage for 2p-10p shift, $3 shift differential added to base wage for overnights**

We are excited to announce our new RN Baylor schedule—an opportunity for you to work weekends only and have Monday through Friday off! You’ll work 32 hours over the weekend (Saturday & Sunday) and get paid for 40 hours. It’s a great way to work less while earning more!

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Registered Nurse (RN) at GlenOaks Senior Living Campus, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to residents. Your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Resident Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on residents' needs, health status, and care plans.
  • Care Coordination: Coordinate and supervise the delivery of nursing care to residents, ensuring compliance with established policies and protocols.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians, monitoring for effectiveness and any potential side effects.
  • Monitoring Health Status: Observe and monitor residents' physical and emotional well-being, noting any changes, and report any concerns to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  • Documentation: Accurately document all aspects of patient care, including assessments, treatments, and progress, ensuring compliance with legal and facility standards.
  • Emergency Response: Provide immediate nursing care during emergencies, including the performance of CPR, administering first aid, and facilitating the response to acute health crises.
  • Family and Resident Communication: Establish and maintain effective communication with residents and their families, providing them with updates and addressing any concerns.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support nursing assistants and other staff, ensuring proper care is provided and assisting with training and development.
  • Infection Control: Ensure compliance with infection control standards to maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff.
  • Compliance: Ensure that all nursing activities are compliant with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as organizational policies.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN): Must possess a valid RN license through the Minnesota Board of Nursing.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification: Current CPR and First Aid certifications required or must be obtained within a designated time frame after hire.
  • Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in Nursing (BSN or ADN): Required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift, move, and assist residents with mobility and activities of daily living (up to 50 lbs).
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods during shifts.
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations and provide physical care.
  • Ability to handle exposure to bodily fluids, infectious diseases, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Ability to work in an environment with exposure to medical equipment, noise, and potentially hazardous materials.
  • Ability to perform nursing tasks requiring physical dexterity, such as administering injections, medications, and operating medical equipment.
  • Ability to maintain mental and physical stamina during shifts.
